Levine provides same-visit fracture care in San Diego with on-site X-ray imaging, immediate splinting or casting when needed, and surgical fixation when a fracture requires it. What to expect
Your first visit
Bring any prior imaging on disc. Dr. Levine will examine the injured area, obtain on-site X-rays, and immobilize the fracture with the appropriate cast, splint, or boot the same visit. If surgery is needed, we schedule it promptly. Follow-up X-rays monitor healing.
Recovery
What healing looks like
Most non-displaced fractures heal in 6–8 weeks in immobilization. Displaced or unstable fractures — and fractures at high-risk sites like the scaphoid — often require surgery followed by protected mobilization. A structured rehabilitation program restores strength and motion after the cast comes off.
